Hi, I documented how I installed up my HP printer - check it out, maybe it will help.

Scanning with HP printers on Rocky Linux

I found that my HP Envy 4500 printer will print fine, but Document Scanner did not detect the printer as a scanner. It took me some time to figure this out, so I thought I would share the solution to help anyone that may come across the same issue: Do: sane-find-scanner and this should show your printer model Do: scanimage -L and this shows: No scanners were identified.
