Xfce edition - home folders

Hey! I love this edition and it was literally the only RHEL 8.5 install that didnt freeze mid-install on my alienware area 51 R2 w/ rtx 3090 + 3080ti. All rhel 8 or derivatives have been super unstable on this particular system, but after mainline kernel + manual Nvidia driver install i finally have something super rocky-solid/stable!

Now that im done fanboying:
For some reason the XFCE edition doesnt include downloads, videos, pictures, documents, etc folders by default in the home directory.
(I also manually installed the LXDE desktop environment using the Raven repo)

Not a deal breaker or the end of the world just a bit strange, and was wondering if there was a way to make these hardlined into the system? (As in not manually added as civilian folders with civilian bookmarks)

Cheers!
Ben

I’m looking at our XFCE live image and I get the feeling these directories aren’t actually made by XFCE directly… Try installing xdg-user-dirs and xdg-user-dirs-gtk, and then run:

xdg-user-dirs-update
xdg-user-dirs-gtk-update

Thank-you so much! That worked a treat!

Dream setup complete :white_check_mark:
