Is it yet possible to run Gluster server on Rocky in a production environment ?
Previous postings suggest the only way is to rely on the Storage SIG from the CentOS Vault but obviously forgoing maintenance or security updates is not really an option in a production setting.
The Storage SIG from CentOS is currently the only go-to. My suggestion is if you want newer versions of gluster that aren’t available for non-stream systems, you may want to open a request to the CentOS SIG.
With that being said, we may open the door for the potential to build gluster in our own build system in the future. This is assuming that the upstream CentOS SIG wishes not to use rhel build roots.
