Rocky linux on Macbook pro retina

Hello everyone,

I’ve been attempting to install Rocky Linux on my 2013 MacBook Pro Retina for several months now. Despite diligently reading through numerous forum posts and following various tutorials, I consistently encounter the same hurdle.

The specific issue arises with the message: “Resource to create this format macefi is unavailable.” This has become a significant roadblock in my installation process.

Given the wealth of knowledge within this community, I’m reaching out to see if anyone here has successfully navigated this challenge or faced a similar situation. Is it feasible to install Rocky Linux on a MacBook Pro of this era, or should I consider alternative distributions?

Any insights, shared experiences, or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help!
