MATE context menu question

Guys, I know I’m a bit off-topic here but I’d sure appreciate a bit of guidance.

I’ve recently switched to a new PC from System76, which comes with Ubuntu (or an ubuntu derivative of their own). I have added the MATE desktop and am mostly happy, BUT!! it is missing one little feature that I had on my Rocky 9.x system, i.e., an item on the context menu when clicking a filesystem object for “delete” which actually deleted, bypassing the trash subsystem.

I’ve been searching the web to find out how it is done so I can add it to my system. Can anyone here point me to useful resources for this?

Thanks in advance!

Open the preferences dialog on the edit menu and go to the Behavior tab. There at the bottom of that tab is an option to include a delete button that bypasses trash.

Oh my, that was easy!

On this mate installation there is only one menu, and had to take a minute or two in preferences to find it, but finally did. Thanks!
