Install printers

hello, I’m new to Rocky and I saw that installing printers is not easy!! I’m used to Mint and Ubuntu which is much easier!! I like the system I’m using it in my office but I would like to solve this problem… there are two printers, one on the network and one local… Thank you very much

As a starting point, you could review post below:

I’m going to spam my own page. It should work, at least with the network printer.

What brand(s) are your printers? If they are HP’s or Brother- support for them is very good. Check the manufacturers site for install instructions and downloads. I have a Canon and it initially installed an ‘outdated’ driver. When I got the ‘latest’ mine finally installed. Agree- ‘harder than it has to be’!

Thanks, please tell me the procedure because when I go to install the printer it tells me “service blocked” and does not let me do anything else. The drivers I found are for the printers epson and brother and they work perfectly in other distros…thanks

List the names and model numbers of your printers, how they are connected to your network and/or computer, the exact names of the drivers you downloaded, the exact steps you took after downloading them when you attempted to install them and the exact error messages (include the precise wording as well as any numerical error codes) that you get when you try to install and/or attempt to print to those printers.

Thanks, Good morning I was able to install the Brother with the procedure on the manufacturer’s website connected via lan. For the Epson connected via usb it is an ET m2140 and the driver is in rpm. Thanks
