I’d recommend using Cockpit to manage VMs (which manages them through libvirt, which in turn creates KVM (and other) VMs). https://www.redhat.com/sysadmin/manage-virtual-machines-cockpit
Another front-end for libvirt, virt-manager
, is still available but since Red Hat focuses on Cockpit …
The good part about VM guests is that they are rather quick to install, so some reinstalls wont take long, should one make mistakes on first attempts.
I’d expect a VM host be “for production”, i.e. not CentOS Stream.
