What’s the meaning of the “8-stream” label in /etc/yum/vars/cloudsigdist file. In which
case could I use it.
I’m use it a bit obligated in centos-release-nfv-openvswitch and CentOS-Messaging-rabbitmq repos, with good results, I wonder if is that correct and if is a good practice …
That’s a variable used in the repo files - It helps fill out the URL for the mirror list. With that being said, some SIG content for stream should, in theory, still work for non-stream derivatives. Not all SIG’s went the route of building against RHEL and stream at the same time. But some from the CentOS side do say that stream sig content should work for the most part on RHEL and derivatives.
