Hi, Is it scalable and safe to use a CentOS 8 stream repository in a Rocky installation?
Presuming that the repo is explicitly designed for Stream (and not Enterprise Linux 8.x generally), I wouldn’t recommend it.
Stream is intended to serve as upstream for Enterprise Linux, and therefore to “lead” it by several days, weeks, or even months, in some cases. While using a Stream repo on an Enterprise Linux system might work “right now”, it is probable that you’d eventually run into some pretty serious dependency problems.
