V10.1 install on HP desktop hangs

I have created a bootable USB iso with V10.1 and tested it successfully on my HP laptop but when I try to install from the same stick on my brand new HP Omnidesk, the process hangs immediately after selecting “Install Rocky 10.1”.

No output at all.

Procesor is AMD Ryzen 3 and Secure Boot is OFF.

Try the second option “test media and install”. I had a similar issue installing to a vm.

If windows is preinstalled make sure “Fast Boot” is off. The actual name of this feature may be different.

Tried that plus adding nomodeset to the kernel parameters but no joy.

What else might “Fast Boot” be called? (Windows is preinstalled.)

What other BIOS settings?

I have tired “USB Disk 2.0 PMAP”, “OS Boot Manager” and “Boot from EFI file” and some others without any progress.

Gave up and replaced the HP box with Lenovo.

Install now done.

I don’t know. I do use Lenovo Hdwr and have never encountered it enabled.
But a very small sample size.
