I want to thank you. I was looking for a stable and yet up-to-date daily driver operating system for my older Dell XPS ( XPS 15 9550). I’ve run Ubuntu, Debian, various versions of Arch Linux and Fedora versions but each was either incredibly buggy or lagged on this older hardware. I’ve used older versions of Red Hat (pre-Fedora/RHEL split) and actually liked stability that they offered but didn’t want to pay Red Hat to use the newest RHEL OS. When I found Rocky on Distrowatch, and saw it was a bug for bug build of the newest RHEL release, I was intrigued. Having installed it and run it for the past several weeks, I will never go back to any other system on this. It’s responsive, the hybrid graphics work out of the box, and it allows for use of RPM Fusion and other repositories and all with kernel 6.12, I’m sold. Hopefully it’ll continue to be as flawless as it has been so far.
