Previously, desktop icons could be enabled by activating gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons, but this option does not work in 10. Is there a solution?
Hi there!
As far as I can see this package is still available in AppStream, so by installing that and enabling the extension you should be able to get the Desktop Icons ![]()
I have installed and enabled this extension, but it does not seem to be working. ![]()
Tested it myself too now, and yeah doesn’t seem to want to work ![]()
Will look into that in the next weeks.
For now what you could do is i.e.:
install Extension Manager by Mathew Jakeman via the GNOME Software application
and install GNOME Desktop Icons NG by rastersoft from there
Have been using that on Fedora for a long time now and that worked pretty well ![]()
