Previously, desktop icons could be enabled by activating gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons, but this option does not work in 10. Is there a solution?
Hi there!
As far as I can see this package is still available in AppStream, so by installing that and enabling the extension you should be able to get the Desktop Icons
I have installed and enabled this extension, but it does not seem to be working.
Tested it myself too now, and yeah doesn’t seem to want to work
Will look into that in the next weeks.
For now what you could do is i.e.:
install Extension Manager by Mathew Jakeman via the GNOME Software application
and install GNOME Desktop Icons NG by rastersoft from there
Have been using that on Fedora for a long time now and that worked pretty well
