Problems with Rocky-8.x and computers HP ProDesk 400 G7

Hello,

I have 25 PCs HP ProDesk 400 G7 that are running Rocky-8.10. Sometimes, randomly, PCs hang and it is necessary to do a reset using power button. In log files there is no relevant information about “crash”.

In these computers, Rocky-8.10 is configured with Gnome but without Wayland. Monitor is connected using HDMI and powersave is enabled. However, in systems that are NOT running Gnome (without X, runlevel 3), systems never hang. Never… So I think the problem is with X environment or with HDMI interface.

Does anybody know if there is any bug in Rocky-8.10 or an incompatibility with this model of computer?

Thanks.

P.S.: if theses days another PC hangs, I recheck logs and, if I find relevant information, I will attach here.

When a PC “hangs”, is it also impossible to ssh into it?
(The system underneath might still run when GUI has frozen.)

I cant’ answer you with 100% security because in last hangs I didn’t check SSH connection, but I think that I check “pings” and host didn’t answer (with no firewall installed). I think system gets into a frozen state (for example, REISUB procedure doesn’t work).
