Ovirt project and RESF

Hi everyone.
Given what’s happening in the world of virtualization, particularly the rising costs of VMware licenses, I’ve been wondering if there’s any interest from the RESF in adopting the oVirt project.

Would oVirt be better than running a big Rocky cluster with kernel virtual machines and libvirt? Do RH control oVirt in any way?

If the oVirt community would like to be a project under the RESF, they would need to reach out to the foundation. I’m sure there are members of the RESF who would be interested in seeing something like that, but ultimately it would be up to the oVirt developers and community to make that decision.
