There are problems with version 4.0.5-3 of the OpenMPI package for X86_64.
Will we have to wait a lot to have the version 4.1.1 RPM?

Welcome to the Rocky community.
We match upstream and will update when they do. It looks like there has been some activity in updating OpenMPI but it looks like there was a regression in 4.1.1 and it is on hold.

If you need something soon then I would open a ticket with them or build your own OpenMPI. I know that my $dayjob we build a version of OpenMPI for each of the major compilers/toolchains with Spack.
