Nvidia troubles, AGAIN

I’m running updated Rocky Linux 9.4, and once again, when I reboot Nvidia fails to start and I’m stuck with Nouveau.

graphics card is a Geforce GTX 750 Ti (rev a2)

/var/log/messages contains a number of entries about nvidia:

the final one being:

I’m struggling to figure this out and having no luck so far.
