Kudos on update from RL 8.7 to RL 8.8

I just want to express my appreciation to all who participated in making the update from RL 8.7 to 8.8

When ran “dnf update” this morning, I was fearful when I saw how large it was.

I was very happily impressed when it was finished by the end the same (large) cup of coffee. So far as I know, everything updated and I’ve seen no signs of problems after a full day of normal use.

Remember there’s a whole upstream chain of great people writing and testing this stuff before it finds its way into Rocky. We appreciate all of them. We’re also lucky to have a skilled and tenacious testing team of our own. They verified your update process before you did :wink: .

Lots of people come to the community for technical help, and that’s great. This is a great change-of-pace post lol. We appreciate you!
