Installation Error Base Repository

I used Rufus to create a bootable drive using a USB flash drive. I want to install on a USB hdd.

It all starts up fine, and I can get everything cleared except the “error setting up base repository”. I don’t know what that means, and I don’t know how to fix it. I am no longer used to doing this stuff, but was hoping to play around with a new version of Linux. :frowning:

You will need to use rufus in dd mode, as rufus damages the ISO and its contents as it writes to a USB drive. Otherwise, you will need to use a different writer program.
