Hi there! I`m on Rocky 9.8, I just started using Linux the last couple of months. I was on Linux Mint, but for Maya to run better i`m testing Rocky.
I`ve applied a dark theme and it`s not system wide:

Rocky 9, just like RHEL 9, does have GNOME 40.4.
GNOME 40 does not support “Freedesktop dark style preference”.
Some applications in Rocky do use the theme that you can select.
Some do already follow the style that you cannot set.
