I’m looking for an ASUS motherboard. Can I install rocky9 on the motherboard with raid1? Do you have any recommended ASUS motherboards?
Semantically, OS is not installed “on the motherboard” – only EFI boot entry is stored within board’s internal memory.
When you say “raid1”, do you mean software RAID? Yes, Rocky’s installer should be able to set it up.
When you say “raid1”, do you mean “fakeRAID” – formally supported by the chipset, but in practice implemented in driver software? First, such support depends on chipset; Intel, AMD, other. Even if drivers exist, it is still a safer bet to use the Linux software RAID.
I’d put availability, pricing, features, and Rocky’s driver support before vendor, when selecting a motherboard.
