How do I drag the applications in the window list to a new order in gnome classic and Rocky 9.1?
With an older CentOS version, I could drag the applications in the window list into a new order.
For example, if I have the following applications in the window list: terminal, folder, and chrome, where terminal is on the far left, folder is in the middle, and chrome is on the far right. I want to re-arrange the window list so that chrome is on the far left, the terminal is in the middle, and the folder is on the right. With the old version of CentOS, I could left click on the app and drag it to a new location.
I have the following env vars:
echo $GNOME_SHELL_SESSION_MODE → classic
cho $DESKTOP_SESSION → gnome-classic
echo $XDG_SESSION_DESKTOP → gnome-classic
echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE → wayland
I found in an older version of gnome, people switched to using the alt key+drag but when I tried alt, ctl, windows keys on both the right and the left with a drag, nothing happened.
If this isn’t possible to gnome, is there another desktop that offers this?
