I was thinking about upgrading my system from Rocky Linux 8.10 to Rocky Linux 9.4 (with a fresh install). However, I was wondering if anyone had luck running Davinci Resolve on 9.4 successfully? I know Blackmagic recommends Rocky Linux 8.6 and has there own custom iso even. Do you recommend 9 over 8? Thanks!
Resolve runs fine for me on Rocky 9.4 (with Nvidia drivers from the official Nvidia cuda-rhel9 repo).
The usual Resolve on Linux caveats still apply, of course (i.e. no AAC support, h264 support in the paid ‘Studio’ version only, etc…).
