I’m using Davinci Resolve Studio. Blackmagic Design just released version 20. After installing the latest version, Davinci Resolve reported that the driver for my RTX 4070 card is no longer compatible. I installed version 570 via the NVidia website, and this update was not without difficulty.
Blackmagic Design only guarantees that Davinci Resolve will work on Rocky Linux 8.6.
Can we expect more relevant updates from NVidia in future updates of Rocky Linux 9.5 before considering version 10?
J’utilise Davinci Resolve Studio.
NVidia regularly updates their drivers (if you are using their module based repository), also for Rocky 8 and 9,
10 will also come for sure at some point, but right now it’s not available yet. (1. Introduction — NVIDIA Driver Installation Guide r575 documentation) (if you didn’t use that way yet, use one of the -open modules or the open-dkms module, already had my fair share of problems with the proprietory build)
Does this answer your question or did I miss something?
I run DaVinici Resolve 20 with my RTX 3090 on Rocky 9.5 - no problem so far. I’ve seen issues with installing Resolve and not not rebooting - but I guess you tried this already …
Actually, I just installed the non Studio version on my main machine with a RTX 4060 now,
using the open-dkms driver there, after install on first start it did not recognize the GPU, but on 2nd start now, it’s there:
