Status of official bootc image support in Rocky Linux 9 and 10

Hello Rocky Linux team,

I would like to know whether providing official, project-maintained bootc images for Rocky Linux 9 and/or Rocky Linux 10 is currently being considered.

I found the previous discussions about bootc images:

The latter mentioned ongoing discussions in the SIG/Containers Mattermost channel, but limited contributor availability.

Could someone clarify the current status?

  1. Is official bootc image support still being considered for Rocky Linux 9 or 10?

  2. Is there an active SIG, maintainer, issue tracker or public repository for this effort?

  3. Is there any roadmap or target release, or is the work currently dependent on community contributions?

  4. Would the project be open to contributions to build and maintain official bootc images?

I am particularly interested in using Rocky Linux as a reliable base for production systems managed through bootc and OCI images.

Thank you for any clarification.
