SOLUTION: Remote printers disappear after cups-filters update

This will be of interest to anyone using cups-browsed to mount printers.

After the latest update to cups-filters, all of my remote printers disappeared.

You now have to specifically allow each print server in /etc/cups/cups-browsed.conf

The relevant lines are:

Use BrowsePoll to poll a particular CUPS server

BrowsePoll cups.example.com

BrowsePoll cups.example.com:631

BrowsePoll cups.example.com:631/version=1.1

Add your printer server to that list, restart cups-browsed and you’re all set.
