SCSI package installation

How to add SCSI support for tape drive. Have installed mt-st package but there is no /dev/st0 nor /dev/tape.
Controller is seen by Rocky 9.2.
SCSI storage controller: Adaptec AHA-3960D / AIC-7899A U160/m (rev 01) but commands say no device.

How to add scsi to the kernel?

Chances are the driver required for your device is not available in the Rocky kernels. You may want to try ELRepo’s kernel-ml. If it does not work, you are most likely out of luck.
