I don’t believe there is any XFCE for Rocky 10 yet. There aren’t even any Live CD’s for this on Rocky download website either, only for Rocky 8 and 9. For Rocky 10 currently, there is only Gnome and KDE.

You would have to make a request to EPEL for them to package XFCE like they have done previously: Requesting a new package in EPEL :: Fedora Docs

I do have a page on doing a minimal install, then adding labwc and alacritty (or dwl) for those interested in smaller window managers. I realize that doesn’t answer your question, but for those looking for a smaller GUI for RHEL10 and clones, it might help.

Furthermore, EL 10 does not include an X server apart from Xwayland.

I do have a COPR that ports wayback and icewm, in case you really do need a rootful X environment (probably for compatibility).

To also digress a little: I have a copr for LXDE which is at least similar in spirit to XFCE. To use it, you need an X server. I’m using it together with TurboVNC inside a VM and it works pretty well for me.

I’ve also put together a copr for xorg-x11-server, but still need to get a second computer to test this on real hardware. This copr contains a rebuild of Fedora’s X server and lightdm as a display manager. I’m quite sure that this is enough to get X back to el10. Testers are welcome.

Thanks everyone. As a result, I used gnome and configured RDP access.”enable remote desktop with root privileges,”.

On Rocky 10 I’ve got Hyprland working with various other programs that are often used with it. However it required building a whole bunch of RPMs, it’s not well formed enough to post on Copr yet
