This is more of a KDE question but perhaps anyone using KDE with RL must have already had this issue. At least someone can find a soln next time .
Created a Testuser1 not in wheel grp (RL v10 KDE ver).
User can login to do simple task & click & update KDE gui but upon rebooting the WIFI password is being requested - every time. How do I stop this please? Would rather not share WIFI passwd with regular Testuser1.
An online post suggested: System Settings → Software Update → Update software: Automatically (doesn’t work).
Is there a simpler way to fix this as root (without affecting the wireless connection next time KDE updates/reboots).
Do not want to share wifi passwd with Testuser1 - LAN connection works fine. This feature is irrelevant.
I believe if you configure the connection with Network Manager, there should be a check box something like All users may connect to this network. When you do that, I think it will never ask the password again for all other users. A screenshot below:
I’m guessing the option is not selected on your system, which means the password needs to be given to all users. Checking that box, should fix the problem (hopefully).
