Rocky v10 KDE - stop asking me for the password after update?

Dear Rockers,

This is more of a KDE question but perhaps anyone using KDE with RL must have already had this issue. At least someone can find a soln next time  .

  1. Created a Testuser1 not in wheel grp (RL v10 KDE ver).
  2. User can login to do simple task & click & update KDE gui but upon rebooting the WIFI password is being requested - every time. How do I stop this please? Would rather not share WIFI passwd with regular Testuser1.
  3. An online post suggested: System Settings → Software Update → Update software: Automatically (doesn’t work).
  4. Is there a simpler way to fix this as root (without affecting the wireless connection next time KDE updates/reboots).
  5. Do not want to share wifi passwd with Testuser1 - LAN connection works fine. This feature is irrelevant.

Sorry - thanks

I believe if you configure the connection with Network Manager, there should be a check box something like All users may connect to this network. When you do that, I think it will never ask the password again for all other users. A screenshot below:

I’m guessing the option is not selected on your system, which means the password needs to be given to all users. Checking that box, should fix the problem (hopefully).

What do the digits actually do please?

Just a priority for the connection, if you have multiple network connections, then that is where it can come in handy. Otherwise no need to change it.
