Many software selection for rocky 9 missing

Hello

there 2 issue when select the software

  1. the additional software selection is missing many option
  2. the additional software selection does not change when using different base environment

here screen shoot for rhel9

for example all those virtualization client/tools/hypervisor software are not there

try to select different base and you will notice the list or right stay the same

using this iso https://download.rockylinux.org/pub/rocky/9/isos/x86_64/Rocky-9.0-x86_64-dvd.iso

not sure if this issue with the newer iso or not

Perhaps that Virtualization Host environment pulls some of those in?

You can always add packages after installation. See dnf --hidden group list for what groups repos have defined.

unfortunately not the list stay the same no matter what environment you choose and the server with gui should list them all

thanks for the command line i see many of groups are hidden while it should not
and sure we can add it later but was report it so maybe other notice or if it important to change the iso

If there is a difference between the comps we use and what’s used on the RHEL iso’s, we’d like to know about it. So if someone could compare our comps to theirs (eg looking at x86_64 comps off the DVD to ours, this can be as simple as a diff) would help us. And it can be reported to us either at https://bugs.rockylinux.org or an issue at sig_core/comps - comps - Rocky Enterprise Software Foundation Git Service
