Font rendering quality problem

I use Rocky 9.5 with XFCE (fresh install, I’m still tweaking it).

I have a problem with fonts rendering quality (terminal, gVim, etc - monospaced fonts).

I’d like to use Luxi Mono, which I installed manually (without problems). The point is, the font doesn’t look good.

Here’s my Rocky sample:

And here’s my Mint / Ubuntu sample, for the same font:

Of course, there are differences: LXTerminal vs. xfce-terminal. But the same problem is also in my gVim.

Why Luxi Mono on Rocky 9.5 XFCE looks much worse?

Update: I’ve just checked in LibreOffice, and Luxi Mono looks great. So the problem in only in terminal and gVim.

Update 2: Problem seems to be solved.

XFCE, settings, appearance, font, sub-pixel order set to “rgb”(was something else).

Why? I have no idea. But it seems to have solved the problem.

If someone can mark this topic as solved, or tells me how to do it, I’d be glad.
(Though in the coming days I’ll be very busy, and not with my new Rocky machine…)
