Cannot connect forum account with Rocky Account Services

Hello,
I have a forum account. When I try to connect that to Rocky Account Services so that I can sign into Rocky’s Mattermost chat server, I get errors. It guides me to create a new account but complains that my username is already taken.

Is there a way to convert my existing account? I’m trying to use same email/pass - do I just need to use a different username for each?

The mattermost does not allow Rocky Account Services accounts to login to mattermost at this time. It’s linked to many other places, but mattermost is unfortunately not one of them at the moment.
