Awstats on Rocky Linux 9 any success anyone?

Has anyone attempted to get awstats running on Rocky Linux 9? I have had good luck with Open Web Analytics which seems to be pretty elegant and nice however awstats running on CentOS seems to get more traffic (including the search engines) than OWA. When I tried to just install it from dnf after enabling epel-release it stopped at:
Error:
Problem: conflicting requests

  • nothing provides perl(Switch) needed by awstats-7.8-8.el9.noarch

So I got that installed and it was able to install but couldn’t get it to work.

To help point in the right direction, the Fedora package is

$ dnf whatprovides "perl(Switch)"
Last metadata expiration check: 0:25:15 ago on Fri 02 Dec 2022 11:56:59 PM EST.
perl-Switch-2.17-24.fc36.noarch : A switch statement for
                                : Perl
Repo        : fedora
Matched from:
Provide    : perl(Switch) = 2.17

Cool command! Thanks!

How did you get it installed, what exact command?

In Rocky 9.0, perl(Switch) is in the ‘crb’ repo, so check that you have it enabled before trying to install awstats.

That did the trick thanks! Now to get GeoIP to work and then all set.
