Hello
I have installed Rocky 8.9 on a Dell 7530 and I find that the screen brightness slider has no effect on the screen.
Neither the desktop slider or the Power prefs slider have any effect. The screen works but is a bit dull for my needs. Any ideas how I can get it working?

Hi,
I would suspect its a driver issue, but it looks like that model can come with with various graphics cards. Could you please provide the specs of the laptop?
Also are you using wayland or x11?

Thank you Tom for your suggestion. I tried some of the suggestions in the thread but without success. I seem to remember that it did work and I have a horrible feeling it was before I installed the NVIDIA drivers.
I thought about reactivating NOUVEAU in the BIOS … but I really don’t want to break the nvidia drivers that are installed. (My only gripe with linux is how complicated / opaque NVIDIA driver installation management is. I’ve spent to many hours reading how-to install NVIDIA threads to find that my GPU is unusable. The amount of NVIDIA installation threads on this site alone, seems to me proof of my pain).
I was hoping this issue is a GNOME issue and not NVIDIA.
