Rocky Linux 10: Missing i686 or 32-bit packages

Traditionally, in Enterprise Linux versions in the past, x86_64 had come with multilib, meaning some i686 packages would neighbor x86_64 counterparts in the repositories. This was typically for compatibility purposes with many applications and libraries that needed 32 bit libraries while running on a 64 bit system.

With Enterprise Linux 10 distributions (this includes Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Rocky Linux, CentOS Stream), this is no longer the case. Support for i686 or 32 bit packages will not be available and will not be built for the lifecycle of the release.

If you still require 32 bit library support, consider using an older supported Rocky Linux release or use Fedora Linux as multilib is still available there.
