Rocky Linux 10 requires the x86_64-v3 microarchitecture, per the hardware requirements at Rocky Linux 10 (Red Quartz) – Minimum Hardware Requirements - Documentation
Some Intel Core i5 processors are v2 (Ivy Bridge) [and will NOT run Rocky Linux 10] and some are v3 (Haswell)
Can you be more specific about your i5 processor, quoting from Microsoft Copilot:
Here’s a quick way to tell:
i5-3xxx models (like i5-3570, i5-3470) → v2 / Ivy Bridge
i5-4xxx models (like i5-4670, i5-4570) → v3 / Haswell
So if you’re looking at a specific i5 CPU, the first digit after the hyphen usually tells you the generation:
3 = 3rd Gen = Ivy Bridge (v2)
4 = 4th Gen = Haswell (v3)
Thanks for reply. I will see
