Rocky 8 dnf check-update

When I check for updates, I’m prompted to register. Is Rocky 8 no longer getting updates?

sudo dnf check-update
Updating Subscription Management repositories.

dnf repolist

repo id repo name
appstream Rocky Linux 8 - AppStream
baseos Rocky Linux 8 - BaseOS
epel Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux 8 - x86_64
extras Rocky Linux 8 - Extras
remi-modular Remi’s Modular repository for Enterprise Linux 8 - x86_64
remi-safe Safe Remi’s RPM repository for Enterprise Linux 8 - x86_64

You have the subscription-manager package installed. It’s not telling you to register, it’s telling you that you can. This means registering to a satellite system or katello/foreman system, which is 100% optional.

You can disable the plugin in /etc/dnf/plugins/subscription-manager.conf.

Thanks for the explanation. Since there were no updates this is the first time it remained visible for me to notice in the PuTTY window.
