Dnf not downloading metadata

Try to run a system update. No sure why the dnf gets this strange error. It refuse to connect to the server.

[kyiu@rocky ~]$ sudo su
[sudo] password for kyiu:
[root@rocky kyiu]# dnf update
Updating Subscription Management repositories.
Unable to read consumer identity

This system is not registered with an entitlement server. You can use subscription-manager to register.

firmware for qemu, built by jenkins, fresh from 0.0 B/s | 0 B 00:00
Errors during downloading metadata for repository ‘qemu-firmware-jenkins’:

  • Curl error (7): Couldn’t connect to server for https://www.kraxel.org/repos/jenkins/repodata/repomd.xml [Failed to connect to www.kraxel.org port 443: Connection refused]
Error: Failed to download metadata for repo ‘qemu-firmware-jenkins’: Cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried

Did you try to go to the URL that it says connection refused? Does it load? If not, disable the repository called qemu-firmware-jenkins and try to update.

I don’t know what’s wrong. I just did exactly the same command on my system. The message came back completely different then before:

kyiu@rocky ~]$ sudo su
[root@rocky kyiu]# dnf update
Updating Subscription Management repositories.
Unable to read consumer identity

This system is not registered with an entitlement server. You can use subscription-manager to register.

Complete!

I think the dnf server was down before and gave me the error message. Today, the server must be back up and running. It says, I don’t need an update.
Thanks for your help!
