Puzzled by one of the forum rules

I’ve been attempting to interact with various people trying to help me in the thread:

General - “Boot process for Rocky Linux 9 taking long time”.

I’m now being told that as a “new user” I’m not allowed to reply to suggestions coming from e.g. Ian Walker, but must instead edit my previous replies. That appears to result in the thread contents being out of chronological order, and I’m having difficulty seeing why that is a good idea.

I don’t believe that I’ve abused the forums, and have been using rockylinux since August 2021, and am really appreciative of it.

Is it possible to get myself recategorised as somebody who is allowed to respond to those giving me helpful suggestions with the results of trying their suggestions ?

Weird. I’ll review the settings, in the mean time I just manually elevated your account.
