Hi, as title:
I’ve found that here are two types of AMIs from website (AWS AMI)here at Region: ap-northeast-1 :
One is Rocky-8-EC2-Base-8.10-20240528.0.x86_64
and another is Rocky-8-EC2-LVM-8.10-20240528.0.x86_64
How should I know which one is booting without LVM?!
Or just pick up “Rocky-8-EC2-Base-8.10-20240528.0.x86_64“ as my packer build base image?
LVM implies that it is using LVM for its partitions. Base does not have LVM.
If you are concerned about the partition layout or what the image contains, you can obtain them here without deploying in AWS directly: Rocky Linux Repository
The kickstarts that built the images are here: GitHub - rocky-linux/kickstarts at r8
