Nvidia drivers issue on rocky 10.1

After following instructions for installing nvidia..nvidia smi showed active driver (595) open but when it gets to sddm i only see low resolution and same is on desktop..please help

Which instructions have you been using, since there are many ways the drivers can be installed. Without knowing that, is going to be difficult to help so you need to provide more info.

Otherwise, see this link: Installing NVIDIA GPU Drivers - Documentation and then provide more info depending on what you have tried on that page.

that is the very same page that i followed instructions, sorry you are right..so i used every recommended command from adding a repo to installing sudo dnf install nvidia-open -y i disabled open source drivers too

Found it..i had missing kernel modules..now it works..

nvidia_modeset needs ACPI video symbols, but my Rocky kernel install is missing the video kernel module. This is usually because not all kernel module packages are installed for the current kernel.
