It is connected to the wireless network and has good reception but will not transfer any data whatsoever.
Beyond updates the only thing I have really messed with is trying to install protonvpn. I assume I screwed something up there but not sure how to find and correct it.
Yes I am aware Protonvpn is not supported by Rocky and I was dumb for trying.
It says I am connected to the wireless network and the vpn (Not Proton) says I am connected to the vpn (Not proton) so there seems to be some data transfer.
