On rocky 8.7 i am using the epel repo to install kmod-nvidia, x11-driver and x11-driver-libs rpms to get my gpu drivers installed but i would like to use the cuda drivers instead. Does anyone know how you truely install the cuda drivers and also set the relevant cuda environmental variables?

Yes, for CentOS 7 and possibly for AlmaLinux 9. We did skip the el8.
(Although I almost never follow any “links” verbatim – too many atrocious details to disagree.)
