Cgexec equivalent in Rocky 9?

We have some scripts that run on CentOS 7 that use cgexec to launch apps in a cgroup - however, cgexec is not available with Rocky 9 - cgexec is part of the libcgroup-tools package that has been dropped from el9 (I believe as part of the move from cgroups v1 to v2 ?)

Does anyone know if there is something similar to cgexec in Rocky 9 ?

You are correct, @james-p. libcgroup-tools has been deprecated since RHEL 7.7, and was removed in 9.0. I don’t know a package to replace it, unfortunately.

Looks like systemd-run can be used to do something similar to cgexec ?
