Hello,
I am on rocky 9 and Leovo T460. I am not sure if that is connected. Anyhow my suspicion is power management. Not sure.
Anyhow. In case when power cable is not attached (I am on battery) and I am connecting network cable there is no action. I have to connect also the power cable otherwise NC will not wake up and connect.
I was not able to figure out where this behaviour can be set or what to check
DEVICE TYPE STATE CONNECTION
wlp4s0 wifi connected WIFI1
lo loopback connected (externally) lo
mpqemubr0 bridge connected (externally) mpqemubr0
p2p-dev-wlp4s0 wifi-p2p disconnected –
enp0s31f6 ethernet unavailable –
Network cable is connected. When I also connect power cable wired network will cum up. So obviously it has some power management connection. But where this is exactly set or where to look for …
Thank you
I have a Lenovo T14 so not the same hardware, but when I connected the network cable in battery mode it took several minutes for the available network connections to show up in the GUI drop down list. Once they appeared the case of on AC mode or not had no effect in my ability to connect. I have a T460s and never experienced the issue you describe.
Your network connection scripts can be found here:
/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections
Are you using the default connections like “wired connection 1”?
Maybe now that I’ve broken the ice another more knowledgeable hacker will respond
Thank you for your reply and sorry for late reaction. I lost it among my tabs. Plus I am on wifi for some time so I was not experiencing this issue. Which usually draw me crazy.
Anyhow this seams to be my saved Ethernet connection insides
