When you run GIMP, the UI screen is broken as shown in the picture.
(The toolbox icon loses its color and the desktop becomes translucent)
GIMP version is 2.10.34.

Is there a solution?
Rocky 8.5 is no longer supported. The latest and supported version is 8.8. I would suggest to apply all updates to your system first.
Additionally, looking at your screenshot, it seems like you’re running a different window manager / compositor. For an issue with random bits of windows going transparent, I’d suspect issues with the compositor first.
