Is there a way to avoid having to reinstall NVidia drivers on update

twice in the last week I’ve updated Rocky Linux only to be greeted by a black screen. The Nvidia drivers have to be reinstalled.

Is this something I’ve done wrong? I’m hoping so because it would be very tedious to have to reinstall the drivers every time I update :confused:
Any advice? Thanks

How have you installed the NVidia drivers?

You might want to consider using the kmod-nvidia package (1) from ELRepo. Please see also the FAQ page for kABI-tracking (2).
