I’ve seen this elsewhere but with no solution other than a reinstall.
I’ve installed Mongo and updated Rocky linux.
On rebooting I get a black screen.
When I go into rescue mode it still works so I thought I should update and reinstall the NVidia drivers.
That didn’t work however.
Any ideas how to fix this. I really don’t want to have to reinstall the machine every time I update.
I’ve uninstalled mongo. It probably wasn’t the issue.
I’m getting the following warning on start up…
[ 1.176732] dracut-pre-udev [408]: libkmod: kmod_config_parse: /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-nouveau.conf line 3: ignoring bad line starting with ‘EOSdracut’
[ 1.176880] dracut-pre-udev [408]: libkmod: kmod_config_parse: /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-nouveau.conf line 5: ignoring bad line starting with ‘d/’
Any ideas?
Errors say that that file contains garbage, well “unexpected text”.
I’d remove it and NVidia’s drivers. Then reinstall NVidia.
