Alternative to hdajackretask

Hey everyone, I’ve spent a long time trying to understand why my front panel headphone jack was’nt working, while the front mic jack did, and I tracked the issue down to the ALSA codec disabling the correspondent pin of that jack at startup (dmesg shows ignore pin 0x1b with mismatching assoc# 0x2 vs 0x1), my soundcard is a ALC888 as identified by ALSA (It can be an ALC887, its a chinese mobo with 7.1 sound). I found out that using hdajackretask from the alsa-tools package allows one to change and/or reenable that pin, unfortunatly this package isnt in any of the repos. Is there an alternative for that? This machine is in dual boot, and in Windows all sound inputs/outputs work including front panel, also fast boot is disabled, discarding the possibility of an issue outside Rocky.

The package is (intentional) not available / build for this distribution and derivatives. Just for verification; you could try a live system based on Fedora, and check if hdajackretask helps you. The live system does not touch your installation and the mentioned package can be installed if not already just into the live system.
