Been using *nix since before Linux. I have worked intinmately with HP-UX, SPP-UX, System V, SunOS, Solaris, AIX, NextSTEP, and too many BSD variants to be proud of.

Back in my day -ptew- -ting- we had to download the SLS distribution to about 50 floppy disks and then give up a weekend to customize the latest kernel just to get basic functionality. All of our kernels were pre-1. We used to have “Linux Installation Parties” to get friends up and going in Linux.
