Yup, I started with Novell 5.1, Windows NT 4.0, and MS SQL 6.0. I used none of those. Instead, I was hired on my a kind man at 3Com and started work in the carrier division where we built and connect networks before 56K and Kflex. 3Com got nuked by an evil CEO and I started my own consulting business. Along the way I worked in GSM, UMTS, LTE, SMS, Voice Mail,SONUS VoIP, and Alcatel, finally landing at Gigamon. It’s been a wild ride.
